Mon pays est minuscule : il fait vingt et un centimètres de large sur vingt-neuf centimètres de long. Ma région c'est la plage blanche et elle seule. C'est un beau pays couvert de neige toute l'année et parfois traversé de pluies d'encre.
Nous sommes des aveugles dans un palais de lumières. Des serviteurs dont nous ignorons le nom se précipitent devant nous, écartant les meubles pour nous éviter toute blessure grave.
Au Moyen-Âge dans les murs des hospices, on creusait un guichet où une mère affolée pouvait abandonner son nouveau-né. L'écriture est un guichet de papier où la vie nouvelle-née attend en confiance d'être adoptée.
Le sens de cette vie c'est de voir s'effondrer les uns après les autres tous les sens qu'on avait cru trouver.
